Short About the Case:

Sport 2000 International, a leading sports retail organization, needed insights into the esports industry and how it could benefit its global network of more than 1000 sports dealers.

The Issue:

The sporting goods industry was facing increased competition and a need to adapt to new trends, such as esports, to attract younger audiences. However, most dealers were unfamiliar with the esports ecosystem and its relevance to their business.

The Solution I Brought:

Through a series of workshops and talks, I educated Sport 2000’s network on the value of esports and how it could complement their traditional offerings. By demonstrating how esports events, gaming merchandise, and collaborations with esports teams could drive new revenue streams, the dealers gained a clearer understanding of the potential benefits.

The Result:

Sport 2000 dealers gained knowledge of esports and created partnerships with gaming organizations, integrated esports products, and found new ways to engage with younger customers, making their stores more relevant in the evolving market.

Short About the Organisation:

Sport 2000 International is a global buying group of independent sporting goods retailers, bringing together over 3,500 affiliated stores across 25 countries.
