Short About the Case:

DGI, the Danish Gymnastics and Sports Association, wanted to explore how esports could attract new members to local sports clubs and foster inclusivity.

The Issue:

Many sports clubs struggled to attract new members, particularly younger generations who are more interested in gaming and esports than traditional sports.

The Solution I Brought:

I helped DGI design and implement an esports program that encouraged local clubs to create esports divisions. I also worked with DGI to ensure that the esports programs were inclusive, accessible, and welcoming to all, including those who had never participated in traditional sports clubs.

The Result:
Over 180 sports clubs added esports to their activities, attracting more than 7,700 new members. Over 70% of these new members had never been part of a sports club before.
